Last year I got a copy of A10C from Steam. I don't think I needed DCSWorld then (I may be wrong). I downloaded DCSWorld at some point over the 12 months, so I had two shortcuts in Steam: DCSWorld and A10C. In this year's Steam sale I bought FC3 and downloaded it.

To speed up loading times I have moved A10C to a SSD and noticed that Steam has separate folder for DCSWorld (including FC3). I can run A10C from it's own shortcut and run everything from the DCSWorld shortcut.

Is this how it should be, or should A10C have integrated within the DCSWorld folders? The A10C folder is around 6Gb and the DCSWorld one 21Gb. That's a lot of space on my SSD :(

Hi DWaldie,

Im not sure if that gives you an answer of your question but I think you may wanna know...

I bought my A10c in 2011 as a boxed version and added the productkey last year to the Steam library. It was automatically integrated as the DCSWorld module of the a10c. So my A10c installation is in DCSWorld but when im installing it from the disk i have the standalone version which doesnt need DCSWorld.

Maybe it helped you.

That's good enough for me. I'm going to delete the original A10C folder and see if it still runs. I can always download it again overnight. I'll post back for the benefit of others :)

Well....It more or less worked. It runs absolutely fine except all my re-mapped keys have disappeared and the cockpit seems slightly lower res. Not sure if that can be the case.

Small price to pay to free up another 6Gb of SSD though :)

Thanks for the replie,

yea the resetting of the keylists is the bad thing about a new installation.

You can increase the resolution of the cockpit. I think it was under options, graphics, resolution of the instruments with an extra field where you can put 1024 (all frames) for example or something like that. But this was translated by me so it may could be called different :smilewink:

6GB of an SSD is worth the price of loosing some keys ^^

All remapped and the resolution issue was to do with the warmth of the colours. It's running beautifully now. Thanks for your help.
