The result of the studies was four broad outlines for future aircraft: Rüstungsflugzeug I for a multi-seat medium bomber; Rüstungsflugzeug II for a tactical bomber; Rüstungsflugzeug III for a single-seat fighter, and Rüstungsflugzeug IV for a two-seat heavy fighter. The plans for a single-seat fighter were published in the document L.A. 1432/33. There is contradicting information regarding Rüstungsflugzeug III and IV on the internet. Sharpe Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Rustungsflugzeug III is what the BF 109 (aka the single seater) basically became beating out the Arado (which was one of the competitors for the contract) you mention below.
