[OPEN] game wont load with mig21 installed

I have all the latest versions of the DCS setup files that were released in the update a couple days ago (1.2.14.35734.604-387) I did a clean install of each DCS module one at a time, and DCS worked fine, until I installed the MiG-21 module. Can't load into multiplayer log in screen or a singleplayer mission, gets stuck like in the loading screen.

I went into module manager and uninstalled the MiG-21 module, and everything works perfectly again...any ideas?

Are you using a 64bit or 32bit version of WIndows?

Can you try starting with the MiG-21 active again and attaching your logs here? (Found in Saved Games/DCS/Logs folder)

Thanks!

Nick, Vike was helping me with this issue and he reposted my post from a similar thread. To answer your question, I'm running 64bit Windows 7. Which log(s) do you need, or all? I have three in that folder: "dcs", "me" and "net-server".

Also, exactly how do you want me to post the logs here, attaching, using spoiler tags?...Not sure of the preferred method.

Thanks for the prompt reply btw

You can attach files to your post. Click on "Go Advanced", which brings you to the full editor.

There are a couple of controlls below the textbox, one of them is called "Manage Attachments". If you click that, a new window will open which allows you to upload files that are then attached to your post.

Depending on the filetype you might have to .zip the logs though.

Nick, here's the logs you requested. I included all the files that were modified when I ran DCS.

Not sure if you need to know this, but these were my actions:

1.) I installed the MiG-21 using the setup launcher, no issues.

2.) Started DCS World, and selected a single player mission (Ka-50 "Shooting Range")

3.) After not getting past the loading thumbnail, I manually closed the window, which restarted the DCS World main menu.

4.) Tried selecting multiplayer, same problem of getting hung on the loading thumbnail and not getting to the server log in screen

5.) Closed DCS normally, looked at which logs were modified, zipped them.

Hope this helps. And thanks again.

PS: xxJohnxx, thanks for the suggestion.

Interesting enough, the reason for this bug might be the lack of "input devices", most notably the joystick.

If it exist, it is not recognized. If you have it, try uninstalling the old drivers, then download latest (or proven) drivers, install the device, test it in Control Panel, then start DCS.

Note: this is my guess, nothing special in the logs, except the absence of input device.

I didn't have any joystick or anything else plugged in during the entire installation and mission loading process.

Have you tried to disable all other mods and try starting 21?

Have you reached the point of Star Force activation dialog (ever, with this configuration/installation)?

Have you tried registry fix ever?

It is worth to lover all settings, run the DCS in a low-res window, disable all other mods for diagnostic purposes, and disconnect Internet access, until game starts properly.

Running English...should I delete the Chinese localization folder from my install location? Could that cause a problem even if I'm not running it?

Negative;

An issue was found where the MiG-21 wouldn't run on Asian systems, likely due to their Windows keyboard/localization was set to e.g. Japanese or Chinese.

Was a shot in the dark hope that this was the issue with your build.

Looking into solutions!
