JTAC/FAC To Other Aircrafts

Hi there,

 

Is it possible to set a JTAC/FAC to other aircraft instead of A-10C only? For example Huey and F-86F?

 

If so, is it working in the last patch?

The code for interacting with JTAC must be in the comm.lua for the particular aircraft, so currently the A-10C is the only platform that can interact with FAC/JTAC (without mods).

 

With mods, you can get JTAC working with the Ka-50 and Mi-8. The original Ka-50 mod by TurboHog allows you to fly the Ka-50 and interact with JTAC as long as you fly for blue. ProfessorRider updated that mod to work with the red side, as well as with the Mi-8.

 

Note: in either case, you will need to make some updates to the Ka-50 comm.lua so the F10 menu will continue to work in later DCS builds.
