One quick question...is the ILS functional at this stage/ I couldn't get it powered up for some reason.

One quick question...is the ILS functional at this stage/ I couldn't get it powered up for some reason.

Yes it is. Huge shout-out to uboats for his help testing.

 

Steps to use the ILS:

 

* Make sure the NAV radio is powered (right hand console, radio closest to the front)

* To turn on the radio turn up the brightness (rotary knob to the left of the display)

* Tune the desired ILS frequency

* On the forward main panel, check the TCN/VOR korry button says VOR

* Set the desired inbound ILS course on the HSI

* Optional: arm the FD APP mode! ;)

* To get DME, if the ILS freq. is e.g. 110.30, then tune the TACAN according to this formula:

 

If the frequency is 112.20 or LESS: 110.30 = 1103. 1103 - 1063 = 40X

If the frequency is 112.30 or MORE: 113.00 = 1130. 1160 - 1053 = 77X
