lef64 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Hello, I'm a first time player of DCS starting from old Su-27 Flanker in 1995. In past editions it was possible to select and add with a single click complete regiments into mission editor. Is that till possible with DCS World?
Sabre-TLA Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Yes you can if you use templates. See page 210 in the DCS User Manual: Because you can create ground vehicle groups that consist of many different types of vehicles, it may be useful for you to save a vehicle group composition for later use. A good example might be an artillery battery that consists of artillery units, ammunition trucks, a command and control truck, security APCs, etc. You can place these all in a single vehicle group and then use the Template tool to save it and use it again later. Additionally, templates may be useful in conjunction with the STOP AND DEPLOY TO TEMPLATE action of the Trigger Menu. In the MODS section of the User Files section someone created a mission with realistic templates. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/136413/ MapleFlagMissions - Read Our Blog for Updates

I have a couple of files (templates.lua and templates.mis) and I cannot locate the proper folders where I have to copy/paste them.
Sabre-TLA Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 How about this path: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\MissionEditor\data\scripts Make sure you make a backup of any files there (for example templates.lua already appears in that folder). So you can restore them without having to do a repair or reinstall of DCS World. It`s an old mod from the BlackShark days. I haven`t tested it myself in the current DCS World version yet. If it doesn`t work then you would have to create new templates from scratch. MapleFlagMissions - Read Our Blog for Updates
