kontiuka Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Does the functionality on this page work? I've followed the instructions on page 223 ... Allows the selection and display of the UPDATE Page. This page allows you to select a waypoint and provide an overhead INS update when flying over it. The basic procedure is to select a waypoint in the fly-to database, press the PROCEED LSK, overfly the waypoint's known location (such as a prominent landmark) and press the MK (markpoint) button on the CDU. You can then choose to accept or reject the INS update data. But after I press the accept, nothing really happens and I have a red flag on my ADI. Also, I don't seem to have the option to try the update again.
WildBillKelsoe Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) INS update points was system for INU update on older A-10A. Not implemented unlike Blackshark, where in mission editor you set PVI update points and overfly them to update INU. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1840940&postcount=7 Edited February 14, 2015 by WildBillKelsoe AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. kontiuka Posted February 14, 2015 Author Posted February 14, 2015 ok, thanks. Wish that was mentioned in the manual.
WildBillKelsoe Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I think devs might do it if they decide a hifi A-10A in the future, but unlikely because the C is there. I think this is a backup system too. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower.
