CrackerJack Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I'm running Loz SM 2.1 A10C Helios. Recently I loaded AutoHotKey to map a button press and release on my HOTAS to Numpad 1 press and release. I noticed the engine guages display in the lower right of the screen disappears whenever I have AutoHotkey running. Is anyone aware of an issue between AutoHotKey and Helios?? sobe Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I use Autohokey all the time with the A10C and have had no issues with it and the Loz Helios profile, or for that matter, any other profile that I use. cichlidfan Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I would be looking for something related to the Mic switch. From the Loz' profile installation notes: If you use TM Warthog HOTAS with this profile you will notice that the Fuel Contents and Engine Instrument panel disappear when you select the Mic button UP,FWD, DWN or AFT. This is an intentional part of the profile as I use it, because you can get the Radio Messaging menu for VHF AM, UHF and VHF FM to appear in the black space when the Panels disappear. 1 ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! CrackerJack Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 Well Cichlidfan you are of course correct. Last night I realized after some more testing that it wasn't AutoHotKey after all. I'll have to dig into Loz's profile and see if I can disable this. sobe Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I have my mic switch set up so that in game, the left, right and down produce the correct radio, but also, with Autohotkey, I have the same switches produce an F14 which activates my voice program, VAC. When I am finished with the mic, then button up closes the radio screen and the gauges reappear. However, sometimes I didn't end up in the cockpit view, so I programed Autohotkey to also send an F1 at the same time and that solved the program. CrackerJack Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) Thanks Sobe. I looked at Loz's Readme file and he says that if you don't want the gauges to disappear then: "it is just a case of going to the input bindings for the Fuel Gauge panel and Engine Instruments and under "toggle hidden" remove those for Button 3, 4, 5, and 6. Then it won't disappear" I'm poking around with the Helios editor seeing if I can make the changes as Loz suggested above. If I get it working I'll let you know in case you're interested. EDIT: I was able to remove the bindings and they fuel and engine gauges no longer disappear. You need to select the fuel and engine panels in the profile and then click on "set hidden" and you'll see the key binds which you can then remove.
