trackir 4 or 5 what to get?

Is there enough difference to dismiss an used tracker 4 for 40.00 and paying 140 for a new 5? The used comes with both clips and the 5 only has the hat clip.

If the TIR 4 includes a working ProClip, then it is worth getting. The Proclip retails for $35.

The 5 has much better resolution but for the price, even if you upgrade to a 5 later, it is a good buy, IMHO.

If you can get a 4 for that cheap, I would say go with that and a proclip. It is good enough, ralfidude uses one and says it is fine.
