jimcarrel Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Just spent a marvelous amount of time in "search" to no avail. The thing is, in mission editor, once I select to make a new loadout--then what? When the Hawk actually worked, I kept trying to get a weapons loadout for her and always got stumped at 1st base. I've been able to uncover quite a few posts where the answer to all questions concerning this was "use the search facility" or "search is your friend". (I don't think I have had a friend quite like "search") I've come to think that really no one does know so they just use the old standby... use the search engine. Well I did and nothing of any use has been found. So I am humbly asking "What are the steps in building a custom loadout in the Mission Editor?" Thanks in advance (and I'm asking to please not suggest that search is my friend ) Win 10 64 bit Intel I-7 7700K 32GB Ram Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gig
kontiuka Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) In the loadout editor, just click the "New" button at the bottom and in the popup box, give it a name and then click "ok". Then under each weapon station of the new loadout, right click to select the store you want for that station. You can also click on an existing loadout and click "Copy" instead of "New" and give it a new name and then change whatever you want. EDIT: the loadout is only for weapon station stores and doesn't remember gun ammo, chaff/flare amounts, or internal fuel. Edited February 28, 2015 by kontiuka
Exorcet Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 To add to the above, loadouts are kept in separate lists depending on the task the aircraft was given. In other words, if you create a "CAS" load out, it will not appear in "Ground Attack". To add a loadout to a different lift, select it, click export at the bottom, and select the new list to copy it to. For minimum confusion, select your task before selecting a loadout. VuDuBu Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Or you can also set the task to 'Nothing" That way you'll have all existing loadouts available
jimcarrel Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 I really appreciate all this! I will definantly add this to a text file. When somebody else asks about it elsewhere, I can copy and paste. Most absolutely thank you for the time taken to give this information Win 10 64 bit Intel I-7 7700K 32GB Ram Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gig
DarkFire Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Just to add a small thing to the above: in particular when starting out with an unfamiliar aircraft I always find it useful to name a loadout as a list of the armament carried, e.g. one for the Su-27 might be named "R-27ER*6, R-27ET*2, R-73*2, ECM" or similar. Doing this particularly helps with the Su-25T and A-10C as both can carry a huge variety of weapons and having the loadout described in it's name can be a useful time-saving feature. I hope the above made sense, it's 0300 hrs here and I should probably sleep. Just... One... More... Mission...
