The Su-33 doesn't have the autopilot lights like in the Su-27. I use Lalt-3 for level mode and Lalt-9 to cancel autopilot and can't see any cockpit indicators. Also the Su-33 is much better to fly than the Su-27, awesome plane.

And also because the Su-27 has too many bugs and seems half finished IMO.

The Su-33 has canards for better high alpha and slow speed handling and upgraded flight control system so it should be better.

I think you can't compare the flight model of 27 and 33, now.

Because Su-27 has PFM (professional flight model), and Su-33 has SFM (standart flight model).

That's why you feel like Su-33 is more stable.

I was wondering about that too...

Having no autopilot lights is a problem, because I cannot tell what is on and what is not.

This is a much bigger deal than it sounds especially when in a hectic situation and I suddenly feel like the plane isn't doing what I want it to do. I cannot tell at a glance if it's the AP trying to control the plane or if something is broken, or if actually nothing is broken and the AP is off and the plane is just acting the way its supposed to..

Simply put, its a pain in the ass and shouldn't be necessary to have to guess what AP is on if any, by what control surfaces are responding to my input or not.

It also appears that in the Su33 there is a thrust controller toggled by "J" but which seems to come on when other AP modes are activated. When I try to deactivate the thrust control only by pressing J it doesn't seem to work. Off course I can't actually look at the AP buttons and confirm since there is no indication.
