Has anyone heard of any FF sticks under development. The G940 is just not getting it done........

My flight has been all over the place and I know it is due to issues with the stick, as I had much more stable control using my MSFFB2. It should be noted I fly helos which are a bit less forgiving than fixed wing.

I am thinking about "regressing" to my old MSFFB2 stick until an alternative comes along......

I am sorely disappointed in the G940 on every front......

Bad rotaries, pedals, and throttles that spike, bad hat switches that register less than half the time, bad slop in the flight stick.

This is the only Logitech product I have bought that I have been disappointed with. I am typing this on a Logitech wireless keyboard right now that uses solar to keep the batteries charged. Works perfect. I use a Logitech G700s wireless mouse that works perfectly and Logitech speakers that I have no complaints about.

I don't understand how a company I have used and been satisfied with for years can make such an inferior product that fails on so many levels.

I would like to add it is ridiculous that I have to resort to using a joystick manufactured in 1998........ That cost $109 new and works perfectly. I don't understand how Logitech could botch something up so bad that Microsoft got so perfect 16 years ago (came out in August).

Anyway, rant over....... if you hear of any FF sticks under development please point me toward them.

Yours complains are mostly true. I own both MSFFB2 and G940 and I am enjoying both of them.

How could I? Well, with G940 firmware update along with boards from leo bodnar to compensate "reversal bug" and in the same time an extended set of buttons I obtained a very smooth Hotas. I also want to add that DCS effects on G940 seems to me a bit better that the ones on MSFFB2.

EDIT: Also, get rid of Logitech software. Configure G940 only via DCS configuration options.

MSFFB2 on the other hand, is an exceptional piece of work, maybe best piece of its kind ever made. I have one functional since 2003... and still working perfect. It is perfect for small hands/children.

BTW: keep an eye on these guys too: http://flightsimcontrols.com/. They might release somtime a FF joystick too.

Theres nothing consumer grade on the horizon as far as I can see.. A few semi professional options that need building into a simpit after sinking about $1000 into getting 3 axis FFB...

I've decided to "downgrade" to a non ffb stick as the notchy motors of the G940 just make precision impossible. I extended the stick to try and get some more precision but this lead to an ffb deadzone the size of a small country.

My new stick will require mounts making as the springing is HEAVY compared to most PC sticks.

Can you share your G940 set up please. Curves, saturation, etc

I am using absolutely no curves for joystick, all defaults (no saturation/no deadzones).

Just for pedals i am having arround 20 curvature, depending more or less by the plane.

For Heli ... no curvatures on anything.

I also extended with 10 cm my joystick.
