So i recently got a x-55 and im having some strange issues that is causing a bsod. So i load up a profile into the software and fly around for a bit then i can close the game off and get 2 things. First is i can have a random key be stuck and be like that until i hold down the power button. OR i can Rclick on the software and clear the profile and BSOD. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10691692/Fraps/2015-03-23%2002.15.21.jpg is the bsod i get. Now i have done a uninstall of the software and driver according to https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/148913/x-55-not-working-try-this But yet i still get the issue. And finally the voip i use is Ventrilo and the ptt key is not bound to the stick if anybody is wondering.

Probable power use issue. Make sure it is on a powered USB and the only thing plugged into it. I'm serious. The first time I plugged my X-55 throttle in my entire PC blinked off. It drew that much power off the back panel. After a bit of shuffling around between the back panel and a separately powered front panel, everything works flawlessly.

I know the issue you have sounds like a software issue and it may very well be. But the first thing you should do is what I described above. Nearly all confirmed issues, no matter how strange, have originated with power use.

I agree with King Hrothgar. To me it seemed moot that a Powered USB Hub would make any difference but that in itself immediately eliminated ALL my issues with my new X-55 Rhino.

Also, with regards to repetitive (random) keystrokes, you might simply need to double check that ALL the Thumb Wheels are put in their Neutral Detent Position (assuming you have programmed them at all).

I have a several different HUD Profiles (X-55 Hud Software) for different DCS Mods/Aircraft. Of these, I have created Bands for the Thumb Wheels/Rotaries. When I close out DCS, if any of these Thumb Wheels are not in their central/neutral position, I will get all sorts of Keystrokes or Icon Selections on my Desktop. Clearing those profiles from the Taskbar thingy, OR neutralizing those wheels, will stop the random keystrokes.

But again, this is all assuming that you have first connected your HOTAS via a Powered USB Hub.

So i reread my post and did for get to mention that Both the Stick and the throttle are plugged into a powered usb hub. Mind you it is an older one belkin f5u234 i have a old version of it. As for any All of the wheels are in the neutral position except the one of the left throttle as that one dose not have a neutral position. I did how ever replace my usb hub today so a nice new one so will have to see if that works.

I used to see BSOD when very first usage of my X-52 (I connected them directly to USB ports).

The BSOD problem was fixed when I did update motherboard firmware. I just wanted to share this, in any case...

I wish the bios update issue would have been the fix. But i did do a bios update and yet still get the bsod. Gonna have to try my stick on another computer and see if my OS dose not like the stick.

What OS are you using ?

For that matter, what is your System's Specs (re: Mother board, Processor ETC) ?

This information may be needed to resolve your issue.

I've had BSOD with X55 by mapping an infinite loop to one of the buttons. Check the mapping you have for the button that gets stuck and make sure you set a release if you use an advanced command that repeats.

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=138712 Those are the profiles im currently using form the sounds of it that would sound like the Left Most Wheel for the zoom. I will remove that from the profiler and try it out if thats the case
