I've flown the F-86 for the first time today and when looking through the engine intake and exhaust, I noticed the fans were not spinning even though the engine was up and running. I know it's no big deal but you know... OCD!!! :D

I think it's totally fine if it's done on purpose, like to gain a few more fps or something like that. I decided to report it because who knows, it might be a bug that sneaked in after the last update and that is not yet aknowledged by the Belsimtek team.

PS: thanks for creating another amazing module! I also have the Mi-8 and the Huey and they are worth every penny, great job!

Hi,

The first set of "blades" you see when you look in the intake of a J47 (sabre engine) are static stators... These are called Inlet Guide Vanes and do not spin.. Instead they direct the air more efficiently onto the first stage compressor blades which sit behind them. Many older jet aircraft use a pure turbojet rather than a turbofan which is what most modern jet engines are. A majority of turbojets have IGVs before the first stage compressor.

So maybe not a bug? :)

Cheers

Ben
