PFMM Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 My understanding of sab-100's frome reading posts here and elsewhere is that one adopts level flight, turns on the laser, the red light shows up and you drop them. This is not working at all for me. The only way I have been able to drop them is in a dive bombing profile, which only results in about ten seconds of illumination. Could someone provide some tips and/or tracks to show me the way to the light? Many thanks in advance.
Red Star Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Alt-w overrides launch authorization. IIRC a drop from 3000M will give you good illumination time.
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 A while since i last took a night spin in an Su-25, so not sure I can help as to why you are having a problem, but here is some useful info I found a while ago about height versus burn times. SAB-100 burn times from AlasRojas website ALTURA TIEMPO 1.000 m. 1:10 min. 2.000 m. 2:48 min. 3.000 m. 4:28 min. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
PFMM Posted May 1, 2006 Author Posted May 1, 2006 BINGO!!! Thanks Red Star. Seems so obvious now. Brit_Radar_Dude, the AlasRojas website was the one of my Google finds too. They also have a procedure for using it described but babelfish does little for my Spannish. Thanks anyway. In fact with the alt-w override you can launch them in climbing flight for even more time.
