Until I find more information I will just use the old technique of matching the down flap angle to the full down deflection of the aileron. this is usually close to best lift over drag. No airplane takes off with full flaps as that would create more drag than lift. It is always best to not fly too fast or fly too slow. So I fly half fast. :D

No airplane takes off with full flaps as that would create more drag than lift. The real F86 manual I'm looking at right now states takeoff with flaps full down and raise at 160 knots. Raising earlier will initiate a nose drop and retrimming will be required.
