I used Mission Editor for the first time to create a very simple mission. The mission begins out of the plane and I have to use ALT/J to get into plane is that normal?

Also the external view is like a fish eye view???:(

Definitely not normal. I find the DCS mission editor to have a reasonable learning curve and relatively intuitive to use.

I don't know what Alt/J is for. Like mwd2 says, make sure you have the "skill" of the players aircraft set to "client."

If you don't mind posting your mission here I can take a look at it for you.
