Hi guys! Lately I've been thinking about purchasing a Saitek throttle quadrant PZ45 but knowing there can be surprises with Saitek products sometimes, I prefered to ask for some feedback before pulling out the credit card.

My two main concerns are:

- Is it sensitive/precise enough for proper DCS use?

- Is the build quality satisfactory? Is it not going to break after two months like some X-55 throttle units we see out there?

Right now I'd like to use something else than the included throttle axis of my sidewinder joystick because you know, kind of an immersion killer :music_whistling:

At the same time I'm looking for a not too expensive solution, hence why I thought about the saitek quadrant. I really don't know what it's worth so thanks for sharing any experience you've had with it :)

I bought mine few months back, but i mainly use it in FSX, and only with mustang in DCS, because with prop planes i fly with my left hand and the quadrant is on my right side. But the DCS mustang has very sensitive throttle on low rpms, where precision is important.

It's light to use, and very very smooth with long enough trajectory . Most of the time the position indicator shows VERY stable readings (on windows's usb controller setup for example), but there are positions where little "noise" is present. This has not been any problem to me in real life.

If you only need one axis, the package includes large throttle unit that binds all the 3 levers to one, which makes it bit less lighter to use (more feel) and then if one of your axis is starting to fail you have 2 axis left to choose from.

The bottom line is it is cheap. But it's accurate, it doesn't feel premium or sturdy, but so far its been very good. Although, if i'd fly exclusively jets, i would consider another options too.
