Hi all,

I have a rather embarrassing question, the one in the title.

(only) A month ago I added a second monitor and followed the exelent instructions given by PeterP how to move the MFCDs to that monitor using SoftTH, I also added a custom resolution.

Now I would like to add a third monitor an need to redo the procedure.

I remember how to setup SoftTH correctly.

I also remember how to create the lua files in 'DCS World\Config\MonitorSetup'.

What I do not remember, and this is the embarrassing thing, is how I added the custom resolution!

PeterP describes it very well, how to edit the 'optionsData.lua' to get an always selectable custom resolution. But now I can't find 'optionsData.lua'!:helpsmilie:

I isn't located in the 'DCS World\MissionEditor\data\scripts'.

I found some posts claiming the file disappeared already at the end of last year (2014) with the v1.2.14 update. I believe I had v1.2.15 at the moment and I just updated to v1.2.16.

And as I already mentioned, I do not remember if I edited that file in the first place.

Where did it go?

WHEN did it go?

If it wasn't that file I edited, what file did I edit then?

Is there any other way I can add a custom selectable resolution?

I have searched but can't find any information (other than involving the 'optionsData.lua').

The resolution I added a month ago Is still selectable in the GUI.

I know some information can be found in the 'C:\Users\[user name]\Saved Games\DCS\Config\options.lua'. But it changes according to the resolution selected in the GUI and I do not believe this is where I should do the editing?

Thanks in advance!

/H

In your options under the resolution. Just back over your old one and add the new one. The aspect will change as well. But thats how you change it..Hope that helps:thumbup:

PS.what ever the res is in your .lua after you make your changes will be the res you input in the options.

Do you mean the options in the GUI?

I know that I can change the resolution just by typing it in (and the aspect), but will it be selectable again in the drop-down menu after I switch to a standard resolution? i.e. is is saved? where?

I can't recall doing this a month ago.

I want a selectable custom resolution through the drop-down menu, not to enter the numbers manually each time. As I mentioned already, my previously added resolution is still selectable.
