anlq Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Hi everyone, Recenty I try flying the F15c, but in the ground I couldn't make a tight turn as other aircrafts despite pressing wheel brake. Did I miss something or it is designed to be like that ? Answers are appreciated. :joystick:

freestalker Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) As Pedro said, use 's' key while turning. Holding S enables your tight wheel steering, otherwise you're only making 'fine' corrections. Don't use S when correcting the direction during take-off (you can try it for some funny moments). And don't make the mistake of getting used to pressing S and then using it with Su27, too >_> Edited April 23, 2015 by freestalker Seems I was wrong at some points
=Pedro= Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Otherwise you're just turning with your rudder That is not true. You can easly see that u are able to make a turn without pressing s key but not that tight taxiing 1,2 or 3 km per/h That has nothing or just very little with ruder. ;) Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X | i7 9700K@5.0GHz | Asus TUF OC RTX 4090 | 32GB DDR4@3200MHz | HP Reverb G2 | TrackIR 5 | TM Warthog HOTAS | MFG Croswinds
LeCuvier Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 to make a narrow turn on the ground you have to depress (and hold!) the "S" button on the keyboard. I have mapped this to a pushbutton on my joystick. Only use this function (Nosegear Maneuvering Range) as long as you need to turn in a narrow radius and below 20 km/h. Else you will find yourself spinning around like a carrousel. LeCuvier Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 You say "Otherwise you're just turning with your rudder". That's not true. Without using the "S" key (Nose Gear Maneuvering Range) you can make make gentle turns with your nosewheel. The "S" key is only required for narrow turns LeCuvier Windows 10 Pro 64Bit | i7-4790 CPU |16 GB RAM|SSD System Disk|SSD Gaming Disk| MSI GTX-1080 Gaming 8 GB| Acer XB270HU | TM Warthog HOTAS | VKB Gladiator Pro | MongoosT-50 | MFG Crosswind Pedals | TrackIR 5
