Why a black paint for AH-60, UH-60 and HGU-56/P ? It's not a real military mattern ?

Hello guys,

 

I have one little question about the black color of the flight helmet HGU-56/P, I understand why green olive but why this black paint ?

 

And idem for the AH-64 Appache and UH-60 Blackhawk, it's not really a military pattern and many of these copters and flight helmets are all black, one idea ?

Maybe they are black so there would be minimal reflection from the helmet?

Only 160th SOAR paints their aircraft black. The rest of the U.S. Army helicopters are dark green. I don't know about the helmets, they usually come dark green as well, but a lot of times they are allowed to be painted by the individual.
