Cool thanks.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Its fairly easy with a good crew of 4 people. It takes longer to take the panels off and inspect the engine bay before the new engine is installed.

Looks a lot easier process than in Mig-21. With Mig, you'll have to remove the whole rear fuselage:

Is that some kind of new store holding that bomb? Or am i just so used to the looks of the A-10 pylons?

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Come let's eat grandpa!

Way easier than that. Maybe a bit more than a dozen panel need to be remove, hardest one being the ventral fin panel. Four mounts for the engine ( skate mount on the top front, two thrust mounts, AKA "coke bottles" and a Side link, called "dog bone") One fuel connections ( PW has two more for cooling lines to the engine computer), three bleed air connections, one throttle cable, a PTO shaft and several cable canon plug connections. This may have some variations depending on the block ( They have different engine bays on block 25 to 32 when compare to 40 to 52) and different engines.

Not new, IIRC, is a BRU-57. To carry two JDAMS on one pylon.
