Guest Cali Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 It's been out/posted for about 1 1/2 weeks at least so far. Does anyone have 1 yet? And if so what increase if any did it make in Lock On?

qrazi Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 It is a good CPU, but Lockon doesnt really benefit from dualcore. Besides that to run it stable at 4GHz, it consumes >200Watt and you need something more than a Zalman 9500 to cool the cpu. Intels real punch will come with the new Core 2 cpu's. Even if the benchmarks up till now favor Intel, it will still be really hard for AMD to have any edge. Interesting times are coming. MSI 870A-G54, AMD Phenom II X2 555 @Phenom II X4 B55 BE, 3.2 GHz quad-core, Asus EAH4870 DK/HTDI/512MD5, OCZ Gold Edition DDR3 1333MHz 4GB Kit Low-Voltage. Budget = Cheap = Good :D
