Hi.

Just startet to fly the dora after a break. and today I notice that the compass/heading guage does not move at all. I played the campain mission 3, navigation. Pretty essential to have the heading guage working to complete the mission.

Only the inner "plane thing" in the guage is moving, seems like it live its own lives. I have a look in the manual if I can find some explination

If the outer scale - the course setter - have this North pointed to 12:00 o'clock, the "plane thing" (compass needle) point for the actual Magnetic Heading, in the picture ~100º.

But you can turn the outer scale (course setter) until the planed heading (for example 330) is against compass 12:00 o'clock, then fly the plane until the "plane thing" point for this heading at 12:00, what make the navigation more easy and natural, you just need maintain the "plane thing" pointed for 12:00 o'clock.

Is need consider the magnetic deviation* (if modeled in Kubam map, I dont know) and adjust the heading according.

* Probable is modeled, with the "plane thing" point to ~12:00 - North, the map (F10) heading show 8º.

The other thing I've noticed is that the HSI doesn't seem to like being tilted at all. In my experience it can get pretty inaccurate if you're banked more than a few degrees.

I mostly fly the F-18, and mostly as a flight sim rather than a combat sim.
