nefas Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Hi everybody! After ages I took my HOTAS Cougar back and I soon realised that the annoying game between the x-axis center position of the stick did not disappeard by itself. :noexpression: I sent an email to the Thrustmaster support and the support guy kindly told me that I had to replace the upper gimbal and the center post of my stick because these parts exhibit visible marks of ware and tare (I bet... :music_whistling:). Thrustmaster offered to send me the upper gimbal but they also told me they are out of stock of the central post and the Thrustmaster Support guy told me that only the replacement of the latter part would improve the situation just of a bit. My question is, is there any way to find a center post? Would it be the replacement of the only upper gimbal an effective solution? Thank you in advance for your answers!
cromhunt Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 hello:) i did get the same issue ,and in front of missing features, made a fix as follow. I've found a copper plumber coupling that has exactly the good size to cover the central post of the stick. If you did already open your cougar ,give it a try:) see you next:)

cromhunt Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 hello:) yes it's right:) and you will get infinity spares with that. if you get ware on the gimbal you can adjust it with some glue epoxy,in fact a glue that become solidified. for my own i add two steel strips inthere the glue epoxy on the gimbal. hope it make sense. see you next:)
