Fishbreath Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Assuming you mean INU/UPDATE, that's right next to the datalink power switch at the bottom of the PVI-800 panel. Note that it's labeled poorly—INU UPDATE is its function (which location source to use for INU updates?). The down position uses the helo's location. The up position uses the location at which the Shkval points. erjdriver Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 Thanks. As you might have guessed, I'm going thru each procedure of your avionics cheat sheet. Suggest - you add the location in the footnotes for the next soul. I looked quite a bit.
erjdriver Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 I believe I followed your instructions to a T for PVI SHKVAL TARGET POINT (2nd one) - and can't get it to store the coords. I assume the switch is the one to the left of the DL power - labeled I-25I or something somethng similar. In step 5 - i assume I have to lock on to a target - did that. in step 6 - when i press enter - i assume i should see the cord on row 1 and 2.
Fishbreath Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Step 5 is two actions: designate (the Lock target binding, default Enter), and uncage (the Uncage Shkval binding, default O). After the second action, the PVI should show the coordinates. I hope my questions allow you to improve your document(s). Edited July 7, 2015 by erjdriver
Fishbreath Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Certainly—it's excellent having feedback from someone who's going through the learning process. The avionics cheat sheet in particular comes from scrawled handwritten notes I made well after I'd learned to do most of the things I put on it, so it needs a pass at being more newcomer-friendly.
