Capt_Haddock Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I was reading the real L-39 manual, and the way they show the location of the instruments is brilliant. They always show a small simplified view of the panel on top, with the location of the referred instruments clearly highlighted in black. Like this: I love the MiG-21 manual, but those references to panel positions (i.e. CU11, RV37, CM84...) are a real pain. Just a thought :) 1
OnlyforDCS Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Good idea & I second this. The Mig21 manual leaves a lot to be desired with regards to the panel positions... Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.
Darkwolf Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Mig-21 manual is a pain. The DCS standard layout, presentation, and graphical identity should be followed, like ALL other manuals includings third parties. Mig-21 manual miss most of the point and is more a "tutorial" than a "manual". I always have to ressort to ED forum search for mig-21 references. But... at least, they delivered it in time, unlike some others... :P [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] PC simulator news site. Also....Join the largest DCS community on Facebook :pilotfly:
