lockon2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Hello, I am a new user and just bought lockon flaming cliffs 2. In the quickstart, it seems that no matter which plane I fly, I can never speed up. The throttle doesn't seem to work. The joystick I use is a Logitech extreme 3D pro. My plane always bleeds off airspeed and crashes into a fireball after awhile. When I look on the options menu, under controls, "Thrust" is mapped to "JOY Z". On the Logitech joystick profiler, there is no "JOY Z" perse, but its says that "Throttle" is match to "Throttle." Any suggestions? (Also, the software is just fine; i.e, its not a software crash, its a real fighter plane crash in the game)
fltsimbuff Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Do you have any other game controllers plugged in that might be interfering? I was having issues where my throttle would keep getting reset to a lower value, and realized it was because of a Logitech rumblepad that was plugged in fighting my Warthog throttle. You might watch your throttle in the cockpit as you move your physical throttle to see if you see it jerking back, or if it moves at all.
boedha68 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 yep, bingo. i have the same joystick. so watch.... :-0 be sure you have the lever down. It is? ...great. Start a single mission. if started hit escape button then the option controls. So go to the joystick 3d pro row. now go to axis controls. You see by thrust joy_z delete that. double click on the empty field a window pops up. and now push the lever full up and then full down. the screen displayes slider_1 tadaa... save and ready to go. please lets hear you back if it was done. :-) Great flight stick....easy with it and the plane is yours. :-) Newest system: AMD 9800X3d, Kingsting 128 GBDDR5, MSI RTX 5090(ready for buying), Corsair 150 Pro, 3xSamsung 970 Pro, Logitech X-56 HOTAS, Pimax Crystal Light (Super is purchased) ASUS 1200 Watt.
