Bidartarra Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Emergency landing due to fuel being very low during a session on the 104th. The voices in the background are Riptide from the 104th doing GCI and the other pilots there that day. Those are pretty cool events, you should take part if you have the chance.

I use to do the same in some combats cases. Sadly we get a death in MP if we take a new airplane. I hope this idea become possible. Seem a good solution to this problem: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2437668&postcount=152 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
EagleFox Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I remember while hunting hogs on 104th with it. Fuel instrument tricked me.it said it has more 400l but engine shuted down 30km nearest base. I landed on top of the mountain next to a house. It was hilarious.

Nerd1000 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 yup probably. I think that the fuel gauge tends to get set a little high when you are on the ground. I find that when my external tank is empty the fuel gauge is usually on ~3000L, while the aircraft internal fuel capacity is 2750L, though that might be caused by parallax error when reading the gauge. As insurance, make sure to check the status light panel on the right hand side of the cockpit (the one that tells you when the external tank is empty). IIRC there are 3 lights, indicating 1000L, 450L and 100L remaining. These lights are independent of the fuel gauge, as they are lit up when specific groups of fuel tanks are completely empty.
