Hi everyone,

after dabbing with texture-making in many others flight sims, I've been asked to make some more textures for AI planes here.

Question is- Il 76 Candid. The template pack has a lot of stuff... how do I generate a texture usable by the game right now?

Do I make a DDS for each file in the . template zip or I can just replace the ones I modified?

Thanks.

You can add new ones. No need to replace.

Found in >>> DCS World\Bazar\Liveries\il-76md

No need to touch any zip folders

EDIT:

havinga look at the Des.lua -

{"IL76-MAP-01", 0 ,"IL76MD-SKIN02-01",true};

DO NOT EDIT THIS PART

This tells to game that this file is a Diffuse. 2 is a specular file

This is the file you named the skin aka IL76MD-USA01 or USA01 basicaly any name you want.

true means its somewhere in a zip filder

false means it's in the same folder as the description.lua

The name of the folder is the name of the Livery ingame.

on some you name the livery in the description.lua file.

For .DDS yes. DXT5 is good.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
