HOKUM52 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 (edited) Hi im tying to use the inbuilt recorder, I successfully recorded a small single player track as a test but when i choose a multiplayer track it seems not to ever unpause and start. This shouldn't matter but i am infact not recording whole track but starting the recording 15mins into the mission. Any reason for the mission not starting (have i got to press a button?) 1st Image show my settings, actual mission start time at 16:30 ending at 17:23 but i just want the middle 2nd image is what i am faced with after pressing start (the P in the corner is flashing) pressing unpause does nothing. Note the start time is the beginning of mission: Edited August 18, 2015 by HOKUM52
Blooze Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 The track replay will begin at the time you actually entered the pit which is usually a few minutes after the mission actually starts. Try waiting longer after you first see the map view. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
HOKUM52 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 (edited) was just me and a friend so i joined right at the start, i've waited 10mins+ But shouldnt it skip to where i told it to start recording anyway like it did when i tried it with a single player track also that screen shot is not of the track but for the recording of the track. I know what you mean but that applies when watching a replay the normal way from main game menu. Edited August 18, 2015 by HOKUM52
Blooze Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I don't think it skips but rather has to play the track start to finish. Only way to tell is to wait until the clock reaches the time you selected. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
HOKUM52 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 hmm. but when i did the single player track and told it to start 30 seconds into it thats where it started. The problem i think is this>> When i click replay from main menu and select any client track, it loads, then i press unpause, at which point it goes back to the loading screen and then once finishs the track is playing. But i cant seem to press unpause becasue its a recording ?
Blooze Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 sorry I couldn't be of more help. I have never seen much value in the AVI tool myself. If you have a nvidia graphics card it should include shadowplay which works quite well for capturing video from tracks. You can start it and stop it at will and the videos will be stored in your my videos folder. Then you can use windows movie maker to make a finished product. Have you ever tried it? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
HOKUM52 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Thanks for your efforts blooze I will give shadow play a try, i hope its not to hungry though since fraps is atm but with DCS W1.5 it might not be. Any other good gameplay recorders that are worth a mention? one that captures my teamspeak voice would be kinda good too? If anyone knows solution to my problem please still say
Blooze Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 When using shadowplay you record your video from the MP mission track, not while actually flying the mission. Therefore it doesn't put a load on your hardware while flying the mission. Just be sure to turn it off when not in use or it will disable your Teamspeak and Track IR hotkeys while in a mission.
