Meneliki Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Just a quick intro: I'm Meneliki, a rookie Ka-50 pilot. I'm not very good, but I'm getting better. Just about at the stage where I'm going to be trying to shed the training wheels of game flight mode and attempt to keep this beast in the air legit-style. If anyone is interested in flying with me, feel free to hit me up on steam: username Meneliki. (im using the non-steam version, but steam is a pretty handy hook-up tool). Hope to see some of you out there! Meneliki
DirtyFret Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) Welcome and I bet you will learn to love the Black Shark in sim-mode. I encourage you to just go "full-sim" mode and enjoy the shark to its fullest potential. There is a lot to learn but a step-by-step approach worked for me. Oh, and do remember that the autopilot isn't trying to kill you, it just needs you to familiarize yourself with its inner workings. :book: Plenty of excellent YouTubers out there who do tutorials on the Black Shark. erjdriver Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Yes - sim-mode as previously suggested. Get good hard-ware. Also get competent with the firing range training mission. It'll teach you to use your resources efficiently - i.e. wingman and weapons. You should be able to get all the targets within 3 minutes - using missile, rocket and guns. I also suggest, before going online, do a complete campaign...that's what I'm doing. You don't want to be a liability from the get go.

It takes me like 30 minutes. P.s. Not sarcasm , please share tips if you have the time or patience [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic109142_3.gif[/sIGPIC] PewPew, "Stick 'em with the pointy end" "Vasilissa the Beautiful" HD Cockpit
erjdriver Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 It's all about using resources and given this is a fixed scenario, flat terrain with no one shooting back. I believe there's about 10 targets + the convoy. You tell your wingman to take out ground targets - he'll take out about half. Then using vickers take out about 5 - 20-25 second each is 2 minutes. Then use rockets and gun run on the convoy - 1+ minutes. Then look around for any target that the wingman missed. 3 minutes agressive - definitely less than 6. I think it's about being able to use resources (i.e. wingman) and all your weapons proficiently and efficiently. In a real mission - things are shooting back - and one doesn't have all day to take out a target nor the luxury of non ending supply of vickers. Actually, the best I've done is 4 minutes...but not showing off...i'm just starting out and a newbie - and can do it only because i've mapped out all the target positions and have set a goal to get them all in 3 minutes or less - with making every shot count. My point to the OP was, before joining online missions, one should try to get as proficient as possible in offline mode first. That's all.
BBQ Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Welcome -- and good luck with the Blackshark. I'm almost envious - I really enjoyed learning it.
