Im sorry if this is a wrong place to put this, but I cant find any better place.

I have been tackling with this problem for ages now. I have read multiple forum articles about other people having the same problem, but none of the work anymore. I had this same problem before and actually managed to fix it a few moths back. But now the problem is back. So let me explain the problem...

The problem is in the programming software, I cant get the bindings to work. I can bind the joystick without the profile, like just bind each button ingame. But thats not enough, I need the three profiles and button combinations. I can bind each button with no problem into the programming software, I can save the profile with no problem, but I cant get the joystick to simulate the kayboard buttons as they should. When i fire up the testing dialog in the programming software it doestn show any buttons I press (from the joystick, from the keyboard it registers it fine) and it shows a weird string of text in my mdf screen, where the name of the profile should be. It says "tmp" and 4 random letters or number after, eg. tmp40GH.

Previously I solved this problem by installing an older SST program, but the newest drivers. It doesnt work anymore.

I am running on windows 7 64bit.

Thanks for anyone who could help!

I am going to assume that you are activating the Saitek profile you have created before you start a mission. There is one thing I learned by accident and that is when ever you edit your profile and save it, you then must de-activate and re-activate the profile before the changes will take effect. I hope that helps.

I guess i wasnt clear enough in the description. The buttons dont work at all, not in the test dialog nor anywhere else.

Hi, I think I can help you since I had those issues but I'm now using everything flawlessly.

First of all, the newest drivers (the ones that were released a couple of weeks ago) DO NOT work in many cases depending on motherboard and chipset. I am using the previous drivers (cant remember right now the version since I'm not at home, I can get back to you tonight with this). Whatever driver you are using, you need to go to the device manager in windows (you use win7 right?) and check that the programming virtual keyboard and mouse dont have the yellow issue symbol. Also check in there that the Root Emulator doesnt have one either.

Go to this thread and do exactly what the second post says and reinstall drivers. Make sure you dont plug the stick in unless the soft asks for it: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84295

That way you should get rid of your issue, and if not let me know. But the problem you have is 90% likely to be that.

Good luck-.

I did. I installed the older drivers that i remember using when i had this problem and fixed it. I cant tell wich version of a driver I use, bacause the filename doestn tell it, but it is more than 7.0.27.13 wich is the version of an older SST i used to use. I remember this combination has worked before.

No didnt work. By the way in the thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84295 they tell me to delete any folder that starts with a specific name.. but there are other folders clearly saitek related: SAITEKHOTKEYS, SAITEKKEYBOARD, SAITEKMOUSE. Should i delete them too?

Nope, just the ones that starts with VID_blabla.

Are you still having the yellow signs?

DO you use intel?

Did you delete the temp folder??

I got it fixed! I figured out that the problem was in the windows device manager. I googled solutions for the yeallow warning sign, and I found a way to fix it. It was as simple as uninstalling the drivers with the warning sign from the device manager, and restarting your pc.

Thanks for you guys who tried to help! Even tho in the end it was me who found the solution, I wouldnt have gone to the device manager in the first place if it wasnt fo you :)

Yes thanks.

The solution was to reinstall the Root Enumerator driver, right?

The solution was to reinstall the Root Enumerator driver, right?

The ones that had the warning sign were: (if i remember correctly) about 10 root enumerators, programmable support for keyboard, programmable support for mouse and programmable support for hotkeys. I uninstalled all of the drivers containing the warning sign. One root enumerator didnt have the warning so i didnt do anything with it.

So I uninstalled more than just the root enumerator(s). And then after restarting my pc, I went to check it again. There was the root enumerator (only one), programmamble support for mouse, programmamble support for keyboard and programmamble support for hotkeys. All without the warnings.
