Sholtz Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 So now that I am getting more time flying I am noticing that I dont get the full use of my throttle (CH Pro Throttle). The collective picks up at around the 25% mark, then I have about another 25% until I have to pull it back. So it seems there is a large part of it that is not usable to me - is there a way to adjust that? As sensitive as it is, it makes sense that if there was a longer throw I would be able to fine tune it better, as it is now while I am in flight just barely touching it takes me from -500/fps to +500 fps. The movement required for that change is barely perceptible, even looking at the control window in the upper left. I have saturation at about 75 and have been experimenting with curves but I really don't understand what those parameters do. Well sort of, saturation I see shows me the front and back end of the collective, at first I could not figure out why as soon as I start a mission I would launch into space, it was because even with my throttle all the way back it was sitting at about 20%. But that seems all I can do with that particular setting.
WildBillKelsoe Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 leave it as is... its normal. If you want to adjust curves, make sure you know your gross weight as this curve will need changing in dynamic missions with loads on and off, or guns used and unused.. With that said, open options/controls/axis commands. Tinker with curve setting to make it more flat around desired region. Be careful as this will cause sudden changes of power which may result in entering vortex state, a dislike among these parts. The other alternative, is to get komodo sim's collective, and have the full range of motion as real as the real thing.
