DimitryNZ Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Hi there! First off, deep apologies if this question has been asked before. After clocking several hundred hours and buying almost all DCS modules, it is clear that this game, along with its allowance for 3rd party developers, has a strong future. As such I have a strong belief that even after core development of the game's engine and modules have halted, that community add-ons could extend the life of this game of which it is a part of a small but dedicated genre (as we've seen in Falcon 4 BMS). In addition, with the VR outlook showing its future potential, high resolutions will be required for a full immersion experience (as the strong screen door effect and difficulty reading gauges are a result of the current VR headsets low resolution's). To help set up for future high-resolution VR headsets (i.e. >4K), what is the maximum theoretical supported resolution for DCS World? Thanks :)
AtaliaA1 Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 (edited) This is a hardware attribute. The theoretical as you say is dependent on hardware and your knowledge of the .lua commands. I would think. Some have found it necessary to increase the default size of the characters in order to Sim. at higher resolutions. Making it more a matter of exacting influence, than theory. The problem was the difference in the different systems used to engage targets. Although the panels were easier to read the TGP was difficult. In lua. increasing the draw distance and such is workable. I don't recall who but it has been done. Edited September 19, 2015 by AtaliaA1 This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig.
