Hi all,

 

I found that the crashes which are happening when events are triggered can be worked around.

If your server is crashing when one of these events occur - Takeoff/Landing/Crash/Kill etc...

 

By checking the dcs.log we get indication that a function is trying to get players name when the object no longer exists and therefore returns an error when this is sent to chat.

To avoid this, go into the advanced when starting your server and make sure to NOT display any events.

 

This should solve some crash issues that people have been having while hosting their servers.

Good find xcom. I have had the TAW test server running all day with these settings disabled but I did not link them to crash incidents as I have had no crash of the server at all, nkt even with 21 players online. It is very laggy and not really playable butnat least the server is up. :thumbup:
