ericinexile Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Does anyone know how to reduce the number of lines of chat that will superimpose over the screen (For instance when several players are conversing via "Cntrl-M")? Everyone I've asked says that they see at most just five lines and those lines don't extend far enough down the screen to be a nuisance. However, I get 10+ message lines which can creep below the top half, covering my HUD. This is at a resulotion of 1240x1024. Thanks, Eric Smokin' Hole My DCS wish list: Su25, Su30, Mi24, AH1, F/A-18C, Afghanistan ...and frankly, the flight sim world should stop at 1995.
WhiskeyRomeo Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Look in the Lock On/Config folder for the internet.cfg file. Find the chat setting: height = 57; delay = 5; are the values in my internet.cfg file and I'm getting about 5 lines. Compare those values to your own internet.cfg file.
ericinexile Posted June 11, 2006 Author Posted June 11, 2006 Thanks, Mine says the same. I changed it anyway but haven't been on a server that allows chat so can't guage the results.
