Crunchy Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I have started the Ka-50 up and all that and I've switched the k-041 switch on. But for some reason the monitor on the Skval doesn't come on. How on earth do you get this monitor to come on? I'm using 1.5 open Beta. Thanks!
VAF [136] Striker Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) It doesn't come on automatically. You have to press "o" (not zero). Same process with the Su-25T as well. Also, use "o" to uncage. When you lock and lase a ground target it will stay locked even after being hit so you can press "o" so it will uncage that target and then you can slew to the next target. Zabuzard Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) The system also needs power that either gets generated once your airborne and increased the engine rpm or from ground power. The system, once activated, is in a caged mode. However there is an uncage button on the cyclic, called 'designate target', and a cage button on the left, called 'targeting mode reset'. You can also uncage it using the helmet mounted device, just turn it on, point somewhere and click the designate target button. Uncage Button: Cage Button: Ground Power On (or enough engine RPM to generate power for Skhval): Skhval turns on after using the power switch: Skhval is uncaged after hitting the uncage button: Edited October 14, 2015 by Zabuza 1
VAF [136] Striker Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) The system also needs power that either gets generated once your airborne and increased the engine rpm or from ground power... The skval can be activated while on the ground as long as you have the throttles set to the center detent (auto) position which is full throttle. The generators work at 100% in the full detent position. Section 9-16 of the operation manual.
