OnlyforDCS Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I will use the L39 Albatros module as an example for what I want to see 'improved', but the following can be applied to any aircraft module in DCS with similar conditions. Currently in the L39C we have three different key combinations (or HOTAS buttons if you like) for flaps. We have two different key combinations for the airbrake (three if you count B as the airbrake switch) and several others. What I would like to see implemented in the L39 (and all the other aircraft) is the option to bind all of these to one key, which can then be pressed to cycle through the different settings. All in the interest of reducing our pilot workload. To illustrate: Instead of (or in addition to) having three different binds, we could simply bind "F" (or a HOTAS button) to cycle our flaps from "flaps retracted" to "take off position" and "landing position". Pressing F repeatedly would cycle through these settings. This could be implemented wherever we have similar conditions for different commands and I believe would simplify our pilot workload as well as free up vital HOTAS functions for those of us with cheaper/simpler hotas solutions. What do you think? Suchacz Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 (edited) Some/most of the modules have this already done... So yes, I agree, but imho this is on the "to do" list of the Albatros devs For example Mig-15 landing gear handle operations: You can use a different key command for each position of the handle, or use "G" for cycling between them Edited October 20, 2015 by Suchacz Per aspera ad astra! kevinsue Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Is there any way to configure the "Communications" menu so that the Main Menu page, Sub Menu page and then the individual commands within that page be configured to buttons on a HOTAS, without having to use the "F" keys to select? Even to be able to mouse click the selection within the page would be a help. I find it distracting trying to find the various keys to navigate through the Comms menu, especially if things are busy and you need to communicate.
