Hey, I have installed dcs 1.5 today and at first the screen was windowed and at a different resolution to my monitor which is 3840x2160 so I changed it and now the screen will only show the top right quarter of the dcs home screen.... this means i am able to enter the settings but i am not able to confirm any changes I make.Therefore making dcs useless.:helpsmilie:

 

Ps. It also keeps saying no internet connection when i try to log in????

You can try and adjust the resolution manually from the options.lua file to get back on track.

 

Located here: C:\Users\[uSER ACCOUNT]\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\options.lua

 

 

Set these to a lower resolution than you currently have:

 

["height"] = 1080

["width"] = 1920

 

See if that at least allows you to re-launch the sim and set the resolution to what you want.

I still get the issue where it thinks my monitor is way larger than it actually is and can only see the top left section???? it does load properly in 1080 full screen

Make sure the aspect ratio set in DCS World options is correct for your monitor. I believe this was found to be the cause for other people with similar difficulties.

please attach your zipped logs folder and pc spec including monitor / monitors used.

 

A guide to finding this information is in my signature.

 

renaming your dcs.openbeta folder in your saved games folder and allowing dcs to create a new one when it is restarted is also a good idea, you can then redo your options and see if you still get the same issue.

My pc specs are: Intel 4690k, MSI R9 390, Asus sabertooth Mark s x97, and its running off a critical 240gb ssd, monitor is AOC u2868pqu

Just to clarify is your windows resolution the same as ingame resolution?

 

and have you tried renaming C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta folder and restarting dcs open beta to allow it to create a new one, so you can redo your option from scratch just to eliminate and glitches carried over

 

Just adding the crash here so it is easier for me

It did it again... But i did try to increase it through 2160x1440 which worked fine

only when I changed it to my actual screen resolution did do the weird thing.

in options are you using the 1 screen option, with your selected resolution, can you tell me what the aspect ratio is.

yup it is set to a single monitor and the aspect ratio is set to 16:9 AKA 1.777778

go to DCS World OpenBeta\Config\MonitorSetup folder and delete 1Camera.lua then initiate a repair on your open beta via the start menu \ eagle dynamics

nope no change. When I alt tab the thumb nail for it looks good but then i go into it and its not right

I am running out of ideas, apart from suggesting a complete uninstall and re-install of the open beta, including deleting C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta folder.

Can you place the attached .lua file in DCS World OpenBeta\Config\MonitorSetup folder

 

then start open beta and select it in the monitor list in options.
