zaelu Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Not sure if it was noted, in 1.5 the 3 pairs of rheostats work... in pairs, each pair controlling part of cockpit gauges and each rheostat in each pair doing the same as the other. Is this how it is suppose to be or is a mistake? RazorbackNL Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 The rheostats should all work individual. Out of memory; top left - overhead panel, top right - central pedestal, mid left - main panel flood light, mid right - engine instruments, bottom left - copilot instruments, bottom right - pilot instruments. The rheostats did get there long awaited attention with the release of 1.5 OpenBeta :) Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) | AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 4,5Ghz | 128Gb DDR4 3200Mhz | beQuiet! zaelu Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) Are we talking about Mi-8 here? It seems you are talking about UH1H which indeed got fixed. It seems one of the rheostat in the pair gives power from batteries/invertors and the other rheostat in the pair gives from alternators/generators... not sure if is not correct like this though. RazorbackNL Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 You are right, was talking about the Huey. Sorry, my mistake. zaelu Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 no probem. here is a video where can be seen how they work now. xxJohnxx Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Hmm, wondering if this is done like this by design. When you turn both fully on, you get more brigthness. Could be that there are two sets of lights covering each panel. In case one fails you won't be left in the dark... Would be interesting to hear from AlphaOneSix about this topic. AlphaOneSix Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 We have two sets of lights, so every instrument has two lights on it. The rheostats each do one set of lights. I don't remember offhand which busses they are on.
zaelu Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 So it could be correct like it is now then. zaelu Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 Small nitpicking issue though with this version. Possibly. The lights for pilot and copilot that work on batteries are actuated by group 2 but for the engineer is group 1 Also the said group 1 for engineer only lights the central console not the electrical panel or center upper panel although they seem to have "double" illuminating lights. Is this also correct? AlphaOneSix Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 In my experience the FE rheostats only affect the central console down low, not any of the overhead stuff.
zaelu Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 good then :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I5 4670k, 32GB, GTX 1070, Thrustmaster TFRP, G940 Throttle extremely modded with Bodnar 0836X and Bu0836A, Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least
