gospadin Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 (edited) I went into the mission editor and created a bunch of Mi-8 loadouts to match those in the manual, with some notes on percentage of max takeoff weight. However, none of my loadouts seem to be available when I actually run the mission, and the default list continues to appear. This works on other aircraft. Edit: Maybe i'm just confused on expected behavior? When I edit in the ME, the following file gets updated: C:\Users\<user>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\MissionEditor\UnitPayloads\Mi-8MT.lua however, when I fly either online or when making my own mission, this file seems to get used: F:\Games\dcs_world_beta\MissionEditor\data\scripts\UnitPayloads\Mi-8MT.lua Is that intended? Flagrum Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 ME loadouts are defined per aircraft role. That means that a loadout defined for the CAS role will not be available for, for example, CAP. Maybe this is your issue?
gospadin Posted November 6, 2015 Author Posted November 6, 2015 Is it normal that I should need to copy over my lua files? Or should the ones in Saved Games work automatically? My liveries, mods, and missions for DCS:World M-2000C English Cockpit | Extra Beacons Mod | Nav Kneeboard | Community A-4E
Flagrum Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 You should not need to copy anything. The loadouts under Saved Games contain only the ones that you have created or changed while the one in the installation directory contains the default ones. So, if a loadout X exists for a specific role, DCS looks for it in Saved Games first. If it can't be found there, DCS looks for it in the default config file in the installation directory. Just make sure that you create/change the loadouts you want to use for the correct role.
