Blooze Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 (edited) Of course it will always be a matter of opinion but I have tried all the terrain mods in the past 2 years and in my opinion the current default terrain in the 1.5 beta is the best I have seen and I have no plans to make a change. The only exception is the mountains textures I have stolen from Barthek's terrain mod. It's awesome! Edited November 28, 2015 by Blooze [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Wait until you get the joystick and learn how to fly an aircraft of your choosing before you become concerned with mods. Model enlargement is an option that makes air and ground units appear larger and easier to see from the cockpit. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Lenux Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 You right, Blooze Meanwhile, i try different settings ( ingame / nVidia control panel ) I turned off and on the HDR, but couldn't notice some difference. As well with MSAA. I tried 16xQ and 4x, couldn't see some worse or better image / details There are some settings, i don't understand exactly what they do Like : Res. of cockpit displays Preload Radius Cockpit visual reckon mode Padlock Permit Crash RCVR I9 12900k@ 5 GHz | 32 GB DDR4 | Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming Wifi d4| RTX 3090 | 6 TB SSD + 8 TB HDD | 4K Samsung Q90R 55" | VKB MK III PRO L | Virpil Throttle MONGOOST-50 | MFG Crosswind | TrackIR5
Blooze Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Go to Start/All programs/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World OpenBeta/Documentation and you will see a user manual that will answer many of your questions. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

zaelu Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 You right, Blooze There are some settings, i don't understand exactly what they do Like : Res. of cockpit displays Preload Radius Cockpit visual reckon mode Padlock Permit Crash RCVR Some cockpits have tv screens or lcs screens like A-10C, Ka-50 or A-10A and SU25T. Those screens are actual other rendered images super imposed on the big one and you can alter their resolution. Each frames means if there are 2 monitors they don't share the resolution. Preload means how much terrain data around your plane is preloaded in memory. If you have 8-16GB you can go to maximum. SSD also helps in removing almost completely any stutter when jumping across the map with F2 camera or F11 etc. Cockpit visual recon is some sort of arcade feature where you can mark targets in that mode by pressing middle mouse button. Like in Battlefield let say where you spot for your team an enemy. Padlock is an old arcade like feature or useful in movie making. Your camera (be it your pilot view or an external camera) is pad locked to another object... plane vehicle etc. So you don't lose sight of it. Permit crash recover... pretty self explanatory. If you crash you can jump back in the cockpit pretty close to where you crashed to continue the mission. Like in Super Mario Brothers. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I5 4670k, 32GB, GTX 1070, Thrustmaster TFRP, G940 Throttle extremely modded with Bodnar 0836X and Bu0836A, Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least
