drPhibes Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Long story cut short: I haven't built a computer for years (back in the AMD Athlon XP days), so I have no idea of what hardware to go for when buying a new gaming PC. I'd like to be able to run DCS:W 2 with all settings maxed (1920x1080), with no low fps (> 30-40-ish) when flying at treetop level over Vegas. Would this be up to the task? CPU: i7-67003.4GHz GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB RAM: 8GB HyperX Fury DDR4 2133MHz HDD: Crucial® BX200 240GB for OS and some other SSD for other stuff. OS: Win 7
Demon_ Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) With a i5 6600k and a good cooler. A Samsung 850 (SSD) and a Seasonic 7200.14. Edited December 2, 2015 by Demon_ Attache ta tuque avec d'la broche.
Corrigan Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Yes. Get a 6600K instead of the 6700 and overclock it, the i7's are almost never worth the price hike. Win10 x64 | SSDs | i5 2500K @ 4.4 GHz | 16 GB RAM | GTX 970 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek pedals | TIR5
