simo1000rr Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 i got a thrustmaster warthog hotas , i will use it to fly the F15 and su-27 mainly . while searching the forum i seen people talking about using TARGET software or some script , i really dont understand how to setup all these ? can't i just bind the key like any other joystick and is there a pre-configured setup for the F15 and how do i use it ?? thank you in advance
dburne Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) Yes you can bind your button assignments in the game GUI with no problem. TARGET is TM's software that allows for more customizable functions to do this outside of the game GUI. You can read about it here. http://www.thrustmaster.com/en_US/products/target I would recommend downloading the manual and have a look at it. It certainly gives more flexibility in what one can do with the controllers. I have used TARGET in the past for several of my flight sims, since DCS 1.5 though I have started to just set mine up in the game GUI, DCS controller setup is pretty advanced as well. simo1000rr Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 . FishDoctor Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Target looks worse than it is ;) It takes some time to get used in it, but after that it is a nice tool. Great advantage is, you can use the switches at the throttle in both directions, p.e. switching radar on and off. This is not possible with dcs settings.
