Frusheen Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Oculus recommends the following for the “full Rift experience” when the headset ships in Q1 2016: NVIDIA GTX 970 / AMD 290 equivalent or greater Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater 8GB+ RAM Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output 2x USB 3.0 ports Windows 7 SP1 or newer. I expect DCS will require better than the minimum spec. __________________________________________________Win 10 64bit | i7 7700k delid @ 5.1gHz | 32Gb 3466mhz TridentZ memory | Asus ROG Apex motherboard | Asus ROG Strix 1080Ti overclocked Komodosim Cyclic | C-tek anti torque pedals and collective | Warthog stick and throttle | Oculus Rift CV1 | KW-908 Jetseat | Buttkicker with Simshaker for Aviators RiftFlyer VR G-Seat project: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2733051#post2733051
Brisse Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Not a chance. People can't even get DCS running right in VR on 980ti right now. With that said, don't go out and buy new stuff yet. Wait until VR support has matured, because right now it's too hard to say what's going to be needed to get DCS running right in VR. Note: The minimum specs given by Oculus are meant for titles specifically developed for Rift CV1, from the ground up. They don't apply to DCS.
VrValor Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) Thanks. My strategy would be that of waiting it check what system make it work fine for dcs and others. No need to rush and buy a. 980 Nvidia if i'm not sure it works.. Btw i'm the guy who tagged Zuckerberg in the oculus dev group on facebook suggesting him to make a sort of VR facebook with details. I erased the post after few minutes but.. .. 3 days later he joyned the group.. 2 month later he bought Oculus for 2 billions. He could gift me a better PC since i study all day Inviato dal mio GT-I9300 utilizzando Tapatalk Edited December 6, 2015 by VrValor Spirit is important: let him fly in the blue sky!
