*Rage* Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Heya....was wondering if you could point me in the direction of any reliable resources concerning the Mig29 SMT and new flanker variants. Ive particular interest in the Mig29smt or Mig29k/m since they may be modeled in the next (or after next) ED game. Much appreciated. Alfa Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Heya....was wondering if you could point me in the direction of any reliable resources concerning the Mig29 SMT and new flanker variants. Ive particular interest in the Mig29smt or Mig29k/m since they may be modeled in the next (or after next) ED game. Much appreciated. Hi, I am terribly hung up at the moment, so I don't have time to look around for good sources for you. But you can get some good information from the web site of "Rosoboronexport"(state owned agency for arms export): http://www.roe.ru/p_frame/main.htm ....choose "Airforce" from the selection block at the upper right corner. This will open a PDF-file called "aerospace systems export catalogue" where you can find information on the MiG-29K/KUB, MiG-29M/M2 and MiG-29SMT under the "fighters" list. Furthermore, you can find information on individual systems and components in seperate listings - e.g.... "Aeroengines" > RD-33 family "Avionics" > MiG-29SMT aircraft avionics suite > MiG-29SMT aircraft automated control system ....the list goes on and includes the following items: - Navigation systems - Displays - Airborne digital computers - Sighting equipment - Video information and laser systems - Airborne radar - Electronic warfare systems - Weapons systems ....etc. :) Cheers, - JJ. 1 JJ

Alfa Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 You are welcome guys :) . The descriptions/data contained within the documentation on that site is not exactly "micro-detailed", but it is accurate(provided by manufactures) and does give a good account for the general functionality and capabilities of varies platforms and systems. Cheers, - JJ. JJ
