JEFX Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Hi all, I have been away from DCS for a long time and I am really happy to be back with 2.0! and Nevada! I am building myself a Nellis base template with hundreds of well placed static objects (to make the base look realistic). This mission will be a starting point for building missions. My question is : with the trigger system, how can I randomize the static objects spawning? (I would like it to occur at mission start so that the base looks different every time I start the mission).. I looked through all the triggers and there seems to be none regarding static objects???? thanks a lot for your help! JEFX [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] In DCS I fly jets with thousands of pounds of thrust... MagicBra Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I made a script we use on 1.2, it should work on the 1.5 and 2.0. It can be easily modified. It basicaly find a zone by its name and create static objects in it with some randomization. The objective was to generate multiple sites that look different on a map with only a trigger zone :) Here is the full library : https://github.com/MagicBra/VEAF_mission_library You should be interested to look at the functions like VEAF_generate_objective_oilPumpingSite It should be self explnatory enough to allow you to duplicate it and create one with your own statics :) Have fun.
