hi mates, before 1.5.2 (in 1.5.1) I maneged to achieve a nice "full" texture load for the "yellowish" farmfields at any given zoom level but with the 1.5.2 I cant achive the same (im not talking about blurry textures)...I have Starway 3.2 mod installed and even setting those parameters like that:

 

distance10x10 = 150000.0;

distanceLevel0 = 150000.0;

noise1back = 150000.0;

 

i cant get a full farmfield load all the way, all the time (I mean that when zooming all those textures start to change abruptly and its quite awful)

 

Is there any way to fix that?? I cant stand that "changing effect" of the textures.

I guess this is for 1.5.1/1.5.2 right? I guess there is not many difference anyway...ok, Im gonna try it right now...will come back to tell the difference:thumbup:

 

Btw, I see you are using notepad++ mmm, should I use it also?? I have been using default note pad for modding things but maybe I shouldnt continue using it anymore...

Sorry mate but I have just tried those settings and I can still see how farmfields are loaded very hard and "in my face", in fact I cant see all farmfields loaded as far as in your screen for some reason...I managed to avoid thin in 1.5.1 by increasing:

 

distance10x10 = 150000.0;

distanceLevel0 = 150000.0;

 

but seems like it doesnt work anymore...:cry:

Im also getting some problems I didnt got before, like those attached...as you can see with all the values you gave me at insane distance and I even see those ugly empty squares. I never got that before 1.5.2. Also a zoom in and zoom out screens to see how farmfields are not loaded:

Ok, Mustang,Im sorry mate!! Im just stupid :doh:...I cant believe it but I didnt had selected the extreme profile in the settings menu (the one I use to make chenges) :doh:...now it looks just INCREDIBLE!!:thumbup: max texture load distance possible haha...the only thing is Im still getting those ugly empty squares in that zone of the map...maybe thats because its in the map limits?¿?¿?I dont remember to see that before :huh:

Yeah it's where the textures end for the map, not much we can do about this (you can see where the textures end more clearly on F10 map view when you select SAT tab in top right corner)

sorry for posting here again but...its me or by increasing so mucho the texture loading distance there is a bad side effect?...now I can see how textures are alot more repeated than before and I think this maybe due to the great distance a which detailed (and sparse) textures are loaded now...just wondering...will post an image later if I can..

As you can see in the first image now snow texture is very cloned and also seems like there is too much snow in mountains (more white texture)...in the second one with less texture loading distance there is less snow and more colors in the mountains (more green tones and variety)...I would like to find a way to ONLY increase the damn farmfield load distance and let the rest as it is because they are the only thing that you can really notice loading...is there any way to do that??

Mustang, you are a genious man!!!!:thumbup:I have just tried what you said me and it works PERFECT!!!, now farmfields never loads, I mean they are always loaded but there is a nice gradation to detailed textures which makes the mountains look great at whatever zoom level you make, no more cloned mountains but at the same time great farmfields all the way (no popping)...manmy thanks mate!!!:thumbup::thumbup:
