flyermay Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 Sorry? what you did not like about Win7 in specific? XD the user interface it's almost the same  the only difference is in the performance! are you eligible for a Win10 update? we are in 2015 afterall I didn't like the speed at which it run in my computer -everything was slowed down- and I didn't like the huge amount of disk space it took compare to XP. Why would I update, when everything runs faster in XP, never crashes or I ever had a security issue in all these years, and I have a lot more space for other applications in the HD?... and I get to spend the $100 to $150 in more needed stuff. As I said above, since I don't play games, and DCS is the only application so far that doesn't run in XP, I don't see a reason to change. Everything I need runs in XP; and faster.
Art-J Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Fair enough. I used to think that way too last year spring, when I was still running XP on my 7-year old config. Skipped the whole Vista and early Win7 stuff altogether - any newer Windows would not run on old PC, or it would run badly, so I kept the previous one. Went for Win7x64 in april '15, after upgrading my PC (this time it was WinXP that would not work with the new hardware :) ) Keep in mind however, that the number of apps (either job- or entertainment-related) requiring switch to other OS is going to increase with time. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
